Well Team GP had a very busy Easter weekend besides from gorging on all the Easter Eggs we could get our mitts on, we also pulled off a cross country music extravaganza titled Coast to Coast: Tea and Toast, which you can read all about here.
So Gig of Week is a bit delayed this week, apologies if this caused you to miss Olly Murs at The O2, The Original Rudeboys at The Olympia Theatre or SOAK at The Little Museum of Dublin but do make sure to look out for reviews.
Anyway, this Friday make sure you get yourself to The Workmans Club for Young Wonder. If you haven’t heard of Young Wonder, they’re an awesome electronic pop duo from Cork. Their big beats and sweet synths are just what you need for kicking off your weekend. Tickets are still available and are €13.
Fresh from having one of the biggest singles of the year with Pompeii, Bastille are in The Academy on Thursday night. Tickets are sold out for that one but not to worry, you can catch them at Sea Sessions and Indiependence this summer. Similarly Hudson Taylor have also managed to sell out Whelans on Thursday too.
English singer-songwriter and girlfriend of one half of Hudson Taylor, Gabrielle Aplin is in Mandella Hall in Belfast on Thursday night The Academy on Friday night. Tickets are still available and are €13. Meanwhile over in Whelans, we see the return of The Might Stef. Tickets are still available and are only a tenner.
Local lads Kopek are in The Workman’s Club on Saturday night. Tickets are still available and are €11. Birmingham indie rockers The Twang will be down in The Academy 2. Tickets are still available and are €16.
Sunday sees Ellie Goulding at The Olympia Theatre, and that one is completely sold out.
