The great and good of Northern Irish Music assembled in the Ulster Hall last night for the annual NI Music Prize.Thin Lizzy’s Eric Bell received the Oh Yeah Legend Award while broadcasting legend Gerry Anderson was posthumously recognised for his outstanding contribution to Northern Irish music.
Problem Patterns took home the best album award, beating household names such as Kneecap and David Holmes with their debut album ‘Blouse Club’, while breakout star Jordan Adetunji took home the prize for Best Video for his global smash hit single ‘Kehlani’, which bizarrely wasn’t nominated for Best Song.
Northern Irish pop maker extraordinaire JC Stewart took home Best single for ballad ‘Hey Babe, I’m A Mess, I’m Sorry’, while the BBC ATL Introducing artist of the year went to Esmeralda Road and Huartan were crowned Best Live Act.
