Irish indie sensation Kynsy has shared new single ‘Body’ ahead of the releases of her her upcoming third EP ‘Utopia’ (pre-order here), set for release October 27th via Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Sprints, Chalk).

‘Body’ follows the EP’s raucous lead track ‘Stereo Games’. Both tracks were co-written by Wolf Alice’s Joel Amey and produced by Caesar Edmunds (Sprints, NewDad, Suede).

“This song is a reflection on the journey of reclaiming my identity and breaking free from the expectations placed upon me. It explores the struggle of playing a role that no longer aligns with who I truly am, and the toll it takes on both my mind and body.” explains Kynsy. “Ultimately, it’s about the strength it takes to listen to that inner voice, to acknowledge when enough is enough, and to choose freedom over familiarity. “I’m Getting Out” is an anthem for anyone who’s felt trapped in a situation where they can’t be themselves and finds the courage to leave it behind.”

Following a busy festival season and support slots for the likes of Black Honey, Do Nothing and NewDad, Kynsy has announced a string of UK live dates this October. No Irish shows as yet, but hopefully we’ll see Kynsy back in Ireland very soon.
