Max Zaska laments austerity and the cost of living in Dublin on groovy new single The Basics, the first to be drawn from ZASKA’s second album, ‘A Better Way’ which is set for release later this year.

The jazz guitarist who has been a visible figure within the Irish music scene in recent times as musical director for acts such as Denise Chaila and Tolü Makay steps up to the mic taking lead vocals for the first time  on The Basics which Zaska as being “a track about gentrification and the insane costs of rents & basic necessities that forced me and my family (and countless other creatives) out of Dublin City.”

2022 looks set to be a bumper year for the artist with not only his new solo album ‘A Better Way’ on the way he also has 2 albums in the pipeline from new jazz collective MåsExödus who play The sugar Club this Friday. Tickets €20 available here Check out the video for The Basics below.
