Whelan’s is set to host ‘Tunes for the Typhoon’ next Tuesday, December 10th in aid of the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which devastated the Philippines in early November.

The fundraiser has been organised in association with Concern Worldwide, Ireland’s largest humanitarian organisation, who need your help to ensure that they can continue to provide emergency assistance to the vulnerable. Confirmed artists so far include former Blink frontman, Dermot Lambert, Niamh Crother and Laura Elizabeth Hughes as well as Dublin bands, The Indecent Cigar Emporium and The North Strand Kontra Band.

Deputy Editor of Hot Press music magazine, Stuart Clark, will be on MC duty for the duration and there’s also the promise of very special guests to look forward to.
