Wastefellow isn’t messing around anymore. On the back of his incredibly moving ‘Post Human Potential’ EP last Autumn, the Dublin multi-instrumentalist has graced us with his best, most energetic song to date.

Marked by growling bass lines and stunning piano riffs, On the Dry builds steadily on the wistful momentum of ‘Post Human Potential’. However, the track’s two Earth-shattering drops make sure that momentum is now all the more tangible here, all while maintaining an impressive catchiness destined for airplay.

On the Dry shows Wastefellow not only maturing as an artist, but as a person, too. It’s a touching yet ironic nostalgia on the problem habits of a hedonistic youth, coming to a heart-wrenching conclusion: “Even if all we ever did was get out of our minds/I wouldn’t change a single thing if I could turn back time.

Wastefellow was also part of our Plec Picks 2019 series. Check out our feature with him here.
