The Latz Waltz Live is a showpiece that has been put together to mark the 30th anniversary of the movie ‘The Last Waltz’.
A collective of some of Dublin’s most legendary musicians are together under the name ‘The Group’ which is a nice play on The Band who in the Last Waltz started out as a concert and ended up a celebration of music with an unparallelled lineup of artists including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Neil Diamond and Muddy Waters for the bands farewell performance. ‘The Group’ will have a cast and crew of over 30 including an 11 piece band and a full brass section and 13 special guests as they re-enact the concert.
The show will take place on October 13th 2011 in The Olympia Theatre for this very special show. Tickets are €25 inclusive of booking fee and are on sale now from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.
