Maverick Sabre joins Kasabian lineup and Tennents Vital

Maverick Sabre and The Cribs will join Kasabian and Noel Gallaghers for a cracking days entertainment in Marley Park. In a second piece of nice news for Mav, He will be up on August 22nd as part of The Stone Roses show for Tennents Vital 2012. The Saw Doctors confirm Ballykeefe Amphitheatre show

An open air concert is on the cards for your August bank holiday weekend with the announcement that The Saw Doctors will be in Kilkenny to play the Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre on Saturday 4th August.

The show is to promote the bands new single I Hope You Meet Again, a track that will be featured on an upcoming RTE production, ‘For One Night Only’ with The Saw Doctors presented by Gay Byrne.  Tickets for the show are €15 and go on sale Friday 20th July and are available from Kilkenny Book Centre and Ticketmaster.ie.

Pyramid back for Thurles Rugby Club show

The end of the month will see Tipperary rockers Pyramid reunite once more for a special show at Thurles Rugby Club on July 28th.

Tickets to the show are only €10 and can be purchased online from  www.pyramid2012.com and if not sold out, on the night at the rugby club too. Doors at 9pm.

Dara Records to release ‘The Secret Of Living to celebrate 20th anniversary of ‘A Womans Heart’

Dara Record will release a new single ‘The Secret Of Living’ to celebrate the 20th anniversary of A Woman’s Heart. It will precede the new album ‘A Woman’s Heart – 20th Anniversary Collection’ which is due out in September.

The single is written by Eleanor McEvoy and featuring Eleanor, Sharon Shannon, Mary Coughlan, Gemma Hayes and Hermione Hennessy.  It is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming album. Don’t forget you can catch the tour towards the end of August and early September at The Olympia Theatre. Tickets are on sale now from €25 including booking fee.

The Burning Crows coming to Dublin

UK Rockers The Burning Crows will be dropping into Dublin for a date in The Academy 2 on September 9th 2012. Tickets for this show are on sale now and are priced at €8 inclusive of booking fee and are available from Ticketmaster.ie.

Ronan O’Snodaigh

Kila’s Ronan O’Snodaigh will take you on a tour of his five solo albums over five dates in September/October/November and December as he plays each of his solo records, one each different show and reunites the musicians who helped record the material.

It starts on September 11th, then rolls into October 9th and 30th, November 20th and December 4th, all in Whelans. Doors are at 8pm and tickets are €14 in advance or €16 on the door or €55 for a ticket to all five shows. Tickets are available from wavtickets.ie.

The Stags Head Raw

This weeks Stags Head Raw will feature entertainment from Hidden Highways. As always that’s Sunday so July 22nd.

Meljoann heading out on Irish tour

July 21st will kickstart a busy time for electronic vocalist Meljoann. Her mini-tour will kick off in King 7 Bar on Capel Street on the 21st July (Saturday) will as yet to be announced support. It’s then over to Galway to play Paddy’s Bar on Thursday 26th July and Friday 27th July she will be a part of Knockanstockan festival.

Crow Black Chicken announce album launch

After over 100 gigs in 2011, the hard working lads in Crow Black Chicken will be back in Dublin for the release of their debut album.

‘Electric Soup’ will be released officially on July 20th in Whelans with support from Armenian prog-rock act The Bambir and indie laden sounds of Kodakid. They will be filming and releasing the gig as a live DVD, so if you fancy yourself for the a casting role, make sure you’re down the front.

Two Inch Punch to play MUD

Mud at Twisted Pepper will play host to Two Inch Punch, Lakker and Frankie Grimes on Friday 10th August 2012.
