Well it was probably the worst kept secret this year. Jim Carroll from OTR (On The Record) mentioned 10 days ago that there was rumbling that KOL would be taking the headline show and in the last three days Twitter and Facebook have been lit up with talk of Kings Of Leon headling the Slane venue.
Now we can confirm that indeed, Kings Of Leon, who are back with their new album ‘Come Around Sundown‘ which has been receiving mixed reviews, will be headlining the 30th birthday of Slane.
The event will be held at Slane Castle on May 28th 2011 and tickets are going on sale next Friday 5th November at 8am with tickets costing €79. Tickets are limited to 8 per person, under 16s must be accompanied by parent/guardian over 25 years.
