We Decided to throw this stuff out there for you guys with Jonsi’s Electric Picnic visit in mind.
Jonsi is set to released the Debut Solo album which is set to be released this Friday, April 2nd 2010, its being released on Parlophone Records and the album will be called ‘GO‘
The decision to go solo was made with a backlog of songs that Jónsi had written that just didnt fit the Sigur Rós style. The first collection of which was put on a record called ‘Riceboy Sleeps‘ which was entirely instrumental. ‘GO‘ is a completely different endevour all together with the album inspired by Animals and attempted to give a sense of Life and Drama through the Music and Jónsi’s distinctive vocals. The music is hard to pin down into a genre, it kind of blends Pop/indie/rock/electro into one with a dream like feel to a lot of the music throughout the album.
Jonsi will bring these awesome new songs and an incredible live show to Electric Picnic 2010. We hope these video’s will make you as excited about the show as we are. Its A sneak preview of the live stage show 59 Productions is creating for Jónsi’s 2010 tour – a cross between film, art installation, theatre performance and live gig. Enjoy…
