We had hoped to get our hands on some more stats and facts but if we do we will update the post again.

What we Liked about Oxegen 2010

The Atmosphere – Credit to everyone who defied the weather this year to have the craic on-site all weekend. With the recession still biting hard many people had to choose between a holiday or a festival ticket, and those who did seemed determined to enjoy themselves all weekend and that mentaility gave a great buzz to this years festival.

Vampire Weekend – What really impressed us about them is how good the new songs were live, while it took a few listens to enjoy, the second album is definitely a winner in our book. Added to that the way the way they embraced the Irish weather made them on of the festival highlights for us.

Bombay Bicycle Club – The only negative thing about their set was how little time they had! We went in unconvinced by he album and came out singing their praises, its sets like that that restore your faith in music.

What we Disliked about Oxegen 2010

Weather – I know its not a festival without rain, but when it floods your tent, soaks your sleeping bag or makes it impossible to stand at the main stage without ducking for cover between bands it becomes a hindrance.

Eminem – Where was the headline show we were promised? A talented guy but with Jay-Z and Dizzee pulling out all the stops earlier in the weekend he needed to up his game. Performance wise, excellent but won’t live long in the memory.

Stage Layout – This could have made it into things we like, having the stages so close is great for stage hopping but whats the point if when you get there you can’t hear the band properly?
