Foster The People were due to play The academy on November 28th but due to unprecedented demand they will be moving to a bigger venue.
The ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ stars are now set to play The Olympia Theatre with tickets on sale at 9AM this morning. So 30 minutes after this appears the extra tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.ie.
The Californian indie pop band are comprised of Mark Foster, Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink. They shot up the US Billboard charts with their hit debut single Pumped Up Kicks which reached number 1 in the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Rock Songs charts achieving platinum status. The song was also recently nominated for two MTV VMA’s for Best New Artist and Best Rock Video.
Their debut album Torches, also released earlier this summer, was also a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200 album charts.
