Festival Details

This August Bank Holiday Weekend sees Indiependence celebrate its tenth anniversary with its biggest festival to date. In the last decade, Indiependence has brought big names in international and Irish music to Mitchelstown, Co Cork, making it one of our favourite festivals to go to each year.

This year it’s no different with a mix of home and abroad with Indiependence 2015 having Basement Jaxx, Kodaline, Ash, The Dandy Warhols, Mark Lanegan and Jape all playing alongside some Irish corkers and Plec Picks in Wyvern Lingo, Gavin James, Little Hours, The North Sea and Scottish folk act Admiral Fallow and so much more.

UPDATE:

An eclectic programme takes over the Spoken Word Stage at INDIE15 opening with screenings by the Undergound Dare Media Film Festival followed by slam performance poetry sessions: Wasps vs Humans, Mike Garry, Jinx Lennon will be joined by Bubba Shakespeare, Stephen James Smith, Sean Dennehy, Julie Goo, Captain Moonlight.

Culture Vulture is set for INDIE15, as Irish Times music journalist, Tony Clayton Lea will conduct a select number of interviews in front of a live audience, as well hosting exclusive performances in an intimate setting.

INDIE15 also announce this year’s Comedy tent with PJ Gallagher, Foil, Arms & Hog, Fred Cooke, Daniel Sloss, Kai Humphries, Totally Wired and more.

Completing the lineup for the Spoken Word Stage, podcast and digital radio station, Co Present with Dwayne Woods and HamsandwicH’s Niamh Farrell will host a lively stream of guest interviews.
