Festival Details

Following the biggest Indiependence festival to date in 2015, the hugely popular Mitchelstown festival is set to return to Deer Farm in July 2016, with a limited amount of early bird tickets going on sale this Friday, December 4 at 9am on www.tickets.ie.

Indie15 was a sold out success in a year that saw the festival grow from 5,000 to 8,000 people. Keeping its mix of top international and Irish names, Indie15 welcomed Kodaline, Basement Jaxx, Ash, Mark Lanegan Band, Jape and many more to Deer Farm, as well as comedy and spoken word stages.

A new feature at Indiependence is the new VIP Garden upgrade. Upgrade tickets will be €50 including booking fee (a Weekend Ticket is required) and will ensure camping in a spacious private camping area with free showers and porcelain toilets. In the VIP Arena, ticket holders will have access to the INDIE Garden, with chill out areas, comfy seats, a full subsidised bar, free power points to charge your phone, music from Under A Plastic Cloud and more of those lovely porcelain toilets!

Indiependence 2016 Lineup Update

A great bill for the Red Bull Bar, that includes Arveene, Disconauts, Get Down Edits, Stevie G, Eddie Kay, Kaily, Bedlam DJs, Deep Blue, Izzy Bartak-Healy, Aishling Murphy with more to follow . . .

Also announced today is the INDIE16 Comedy & Spoken Word Stage – curated by Andrew Stanley, it will feature Damo Clark, Totally Wired, Eric Lalor, Ryan Cullen, Edwin Salmon, Niamh Marron, Emman Idama, Peter Flanagan, Emma Doran, David Reilly, Trevor Browne and Marcus O’Laoire cracking the laughs – with Co-Present Podcast with Dwayne Woods, joining Tony Clayton-Lea’s Culture Vultures, Wasps vs Humans, John Cummins, Lewis Kenny, Paul McNamara, Bubba Shakespeare, Abby Oliveria, Clara Rose Thornton, Julie Good and Erin Fornoff as part of INDIE’s strongest spoken word line-up to date.

Added to the music line-up for INDIE16 today are Cronin, August Wells, Jack O’Rourke, Slow Motion Heroes and Jamie Stanton – who join the likes of Little HoursKing Kong Company, Pleasure Beach, Brian Deady, CC Brez, Saint Sister, Coasts, Stephanie Rainey, Wyvern Lingo,Otherkin, Fang and Bitch Falcon.

Early bird tickets for 2016 are on sale from Friday morning and are excellent value for the three-day festival at just €90 with camping. Last year’s early birds sold out in record time and festival goers are advised to get them early again this year. Tier 1 tickets for Indie16 will be on sale after the early birds priced at €99. Tier 2 will be €109 and finally Tier 3 at €119.
