Irish rockers The Saw Doctors have managed to raise €10,000 this Christmas for a great cause of St. Vincent De Paul.

They released an acapella version of their track Red Cortina and hit #1 on Itunes for 4 day whilst making it to #4 in the Irish charts on December 10th. For every download Smyths Toys added €1 to the donation and they hit the magic 10k in time to give the charity a 2011 boost. Last week Today FM put it in the Top 100 songs of 2010 too.

They now head over to the U.S. at the invitation of Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley to headline his inaugural ball in Baltimore MD on January 19th.
