Gretchen Peters WhelansGrammy nominated Gretchen Peters will be hitting Ireland in March for a headline show.

She is out promoting her new album ‘Hello, Cruel World’ which is the latest from the Country legends list of albums which is getting extensive now. The record was born out of a rollercoaster year for Gretchen: she watched the Gulf oil spill wash up on the doorstep of her Florida cottage, lost a close friend to suicide, experienced the worst flooding in the history of her adopted hometown of Nashville, married her long-time piano accompanist and partner Barry Walsh, and learned that her child is transgendered. Quite the year for anyone.

The gig is in Whelans on Tuesday 13th March 2012, Tickets for the show are €18.35 inclusive of booking fee and available at the WAV box office or Whelanslive.com.
