UK-based PC and Mobile music streaming site, WE7 is set to release an Irish version of its site for the Irish music lovers. If your unfamiliar with the site it is akin to the type of site Grooveshark is which I think was one of the first sites to do a good job on streaming largely libraries of music.

Like Grooveshark it has two subscription option, €4.99 for ad free streaming on your PC and €9.99 for mobile access and ad free streaming. If you have a big data transfer allowance this mobile access will literally give you access to almost any song released (at least major releases) from your mobile on the go. I’ve already personally seen such sites put to great use at a few house parties where instead of the host having a few CD’s, this type of site is loaded up, a playlist is created from the vast library and gives you the DJ-esque feel of taking requests (and actually being able to play it 99% of the time)

The site will launch on Monday January 17th with the Irish version of the site having a more Irish slant and can be found at www.we7.ie

we7 CEO Steve Purdham said of the launch into Ireland
