The smash-hit Queen and Ben Elton musical ‘We Will Rock You’ will embark on its first ever world arena tour, taking in shows in Dublin and Belfast in April & June respectively. Unprecedented success in theatres around the world has allowed the musical to make the step up into arena gigs. ‘We Will Rock You’ delivers 24 of Queen’s biggest hits in a futuristic comedy show that boasts the scale and spectacle that marked Queen’s live performances.

Director, Ben Elton described the show as being “all about legend. We take the Queen legend and create our own fantastical story of young kids battling the mighty corporations who want to suppress their individuality and their love of music. They need a hero… and we have two, the dreamer Galileo and the sassy rock chick Scaramouche.” Producer Phil McIntyre added: “We are looking forward to taking this true Rock Theatrical out on the road again. We had standing ovations night after night around the UK last time and we can’t wait to see that happen again.”

The show comes to The O2, Dublin on April 4th, 5th and 6th with an added matinee show on Saturday the 6th at 2.30pm and returns to the emerald isle in June to take in shows at The Odyssey Arena on the 12th, 13th, 14th  and 15th and will also put on a matinee show on the final day. Tickets will cost from €40 including booking fee for the Dublin shows and £30 including booking fee for its shows in Belfast. They go on sale this Friday, August 24th at 9am.
