Six-piece rock outfit She’s A Beauty have been creating music for themselves since 2009, blending genres such as funk, prog, post rock and blues with vocals that span an equal myriad of influences. They’ve never been afraid to be themselves and this is reflected in their latest release.

Filmed in Highfield Manor, Prosperous, Co.Kildare by Luke Daly and produced Bold Puppy Productions, ‘Between the Closest Space & Furthest Skies’ (DVD) is a frankly audacious move by the men from Maynooth. Part documentary, part animation, part live performance film, it delivers the music of She’s A Beauty in a highly cinematic parcel.

The twenty-five minute live performance film is intertwined with interview segments and snippets of animation by Jack O’Shea. But the standout moments are contained within the live performance segments of the DVD where you get to see the band do what every band should do best; play their songs like their lives depend upon it.

‘Between the Closest Space & Furthest Skies’  is out now, but you can check out a teaser below.
