Livin’ It High is the debut single from 2014 Voice of Ireland finalist Jamie Stanton. Stanton is not your typical talent show contestant though. Writing and singing your own songs doesn’t usually go hand in hand with such ventures, add to that Stanton’s chosen genre of country rock it was never going to be a marriage made in heaven. Stanton embraced the challenge and impressed week and week with his powerful vocals bringing him all the way to the final, dueting on July with Mundy.

Stanton may have fallen at the final hurdle but his hard work paid off when his debut single Livin’ It High hit the No.1 slot on iTunes Rock Charts upon its release in July. He’ll hope sis debut album ‘Flying Colours’ follows suit in October.

‘Flying Colours’ promises to be a high octane cocktail of southern rock, blues, and country with Stantan’s powerful voice the centrepiece of a collection of tracks with influences as diverse as Metallica and Woodie Guthrie. The video for Livin’ it High, directed by Brian Oglanby from Restless Crest Productions and filmed on the dusty back roads and deltas of Cobh Island in Cork Harbour and The Pav concert venue in Cork.

Livin’ It High is available to download for free on Bandcamp until the release of ‘Flying Colours’ on October 1st.
