Thumper have shared a video of a raucous performance of their song 25 live in RTE’s Studio 8.

The Dublin-based noise makers have been causing a frenzy this year. Thumper have taken their four-guitar sonic assault across the continent with prime slots at Body & Soul, Kaleidoscope, Electric Picnic and a sold-out UK tour. Their mosh pit showcase at The Workman’s Club was the highlight of Ireland Music Week. This of course comes as no surprise. Thumper have been appearing on ones to watch lists and selling out shows consistently since the release of their self-titled EP in 2015.

Elsewhere, the band’s latest single Down was premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show. Presenter Dan P Carter and BBC Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq have poured support on the band. Their EP ‘Out Of Body Auto-Message’ – from which Down was taken – was released last May to rave reviews. Their recent work on an RTE documentary about sustainability provided an excellent companion to Extinction Rebellion in Dublin this month.

The performance video comes just days before the band embark on another tour of the UK. This tour includes a shift opening for The Dunts in Notting Hill Arts Centre on Halloween Night. The noise-pop sextet have also announced that they will play at Eurosonic Festival next January.

Thumper will play a headline show at The Grand Social on 15th November with support from Autre Monde and Gif. Their sound and live show have already become a thing of legend so this is not one to be missed. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
