Thornton Pianos are bringing their Superior Session video series which has amassed over a million views on YouTube since its conception to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre for a special live stream event next month.

The Superior Sessions was launched by Thornton Pianos last September (2020) to help artists maintain their platform when Covid related safety procedures closed all traditional avenues for live performance. The success of the sessions led to the recording of The Superior Sessions album and now the project is going to the next stage with an ambitious concert stream from the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on July 10th featuring many of the artist from the series including Sophie Doyle Ryder and Pastiche.

“We have been blown away by the response to The Superior Sessions, people have been buying and streaming the album all around the world and we passed 1 million views on all the videos for our emerging artists and we cannot wait for everyone to see our Concert from the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre – July 10th,” says Alan Thornton. “Our aim is to virtually sell out the venue, 2,111 seats.  We are delighted our Superior Sessions artists will be joined by internationally renowned pianist David Syme.”

Furthermore anybody who buys a ticket will be entered into a draw to win a Ritmüller Superior 122 Upright piano worth €6,500.

The full line-up for the event includes
