The Works Festival will return to CIE Hall, Inchicore, Dublin 8 on 24th August 2024. The one-day festival was recently announced in partnership with IMRO, Poetry Ireland, Rascals Brewing Company and Smithfield Creatives.
Organised by Adam Kelly of Smithfield Creatives and Danny Kilmartin, the afternoon will feature a line-up of live music, artists, poets and comedians.
Adam Kelly is a promoter, has been running Smithfield Creatives, a network of independent poets and performers, since 2020 while Danny has been entrenched in the independent Irish music scene since 2013, contributing to the likes of GoldenPlec, The Thin Air and HeadStuff among others.
Performing on the day are Chase Nova Band, Dubh Lee, Hot Mess, Luke Clerkin, Trope, Vagabond Queen, Annie and The Witness, Sweltr, Geological Postal Service, Left Iris, Sygh, poets Shivvy Hickey, Miranda Faul, and Leinster Poetry Slam and All-Ireland Poetry finalist Barry Currivan.
The festival will also feature performances from comedians Ally Daly and Justine Mulligan.
