Formed in 1987 The Vaselines released two singles and one album. They then proceeded to split up in 1989 in the same week their album was released. Great timing. Nirvana covered three of their songs which fueled a growing appreciation of the bands music.
They now return 20 years on with their new album ‘Sex With An X’ which is 12 songs which were recorded in thirteen days (plus two B-sides).
The Vaselines return to the live scene with a gig in Dublin at Whelans on July 12th 2011. Doors at 8pm and Tickets are priced at €18.50 are on sale now.
