Cork act The Shaker Hymn are back with new single Brother (Love In Flight), Out February 20th from their own imprint, Heavy Noids Records.

The new single precedes the release of ‘The Shape Of The Sea’ EP due out on April 10th and sees the group take an unexpected left turn into folk with tracks inspired by the likes of John Prine, Steve Gunn, The Lost Brothers and Joan Shelley – Read our recent interview with Shelley here.

When work on the band’s 3rd album ground to a halt Caoilian Sherlock and Robbie Barron began putting together demos of folk influenced songs and ‘The Shape Of The Sea’ EP is the result of those sessions which allowed the pair to work on old unrecorded songs and songs written on the road while on tour in the US as well as brand new material.

Marlene Enright provides harmonies on The Hearts Of Some. You’ll be able to hear the fruits of The Shaker Hymn’s labour on tour soon. Dates below video.
