Super Silly are Precious, Solbas, Grooves, and Shek. Part of the Dublin-based Word Up Collective they blend RnB, hip-hop and soul with their gospel upbringing.

Following on from the spectacular No Pressure which was released last year, the four-piece continue in this mould in the accompanying vintage Seán Clancy-directed video. With lines like “They say I copy and paste my whole lifestyle/Why can’t I just live like this next guy?” they tackle self-expression, the road not taken and the dangers of social media to funky staccato guitar rhythms and joyous synthwork. If you can’t tell, we really like them.

Having played as session musicians for Hare Squead, Super Silly can be confident in following in their fellow Irish high-flyers’ footsteps if they keep on releasing gems like this.

You can catch them when they play Tengu next Thursday as Soultiquette celebrate their 3rd year anniversary.
