Yes it appears regardless of talk about them being past it, the latest album not being liked by the masses, that for all that talk, people still had no problem going to see them at Slane. It’s no meager achievement selling 80,000 tickets and it underlines their devout following.
Tickets sold out in 40 minutes and MCD are delighted to be able to announce that following the sellout that they can now reveal that an intimate date in The O2, Dublin, which I guess at 12% of the size of Slane it would be intimate, on December 11th 2010 and tickets go on sale Tuesday 9th November at 9am.
