Underground festival Síbin is set to warm up Dublin ahead of it’s music festival which will take place in it’s brand new venue of MillHouse at Slane, Co. Meath. The festival is on April 30th from 3pm till late featuring a wide range of acts including The Informatic, New Secret Weapon, The Whipround, Loefah, Total Science, The Hot Sprockets, Reeko, Giles Armstrong and reggae stalwarts Worries Outernational. More to be announced very soon.

There will be three warm up gigs, all in Dublin to set the scene for the festival with firstly a gig tomorrow (Fri 25th February) in The Basement, Clarendon House on Clarendon St. Admission is €7 and will feature a Techno/House/Electro baseline of acts including Joe McGrath, Jeff Walters, Dan Guerin and James M. Doors at 11pm and to get in you must register by email to get in by mailing sibinfestival2011@gmail.com with ‘The Basement’ in the subject line.  It’s BYOB so the night will be cheap and cheerful – come early though as capacity is limited and registration doesn’t guarantee entry.

The second session is a drum & bass session on March 16th with 11pm start in The Twisted Pepper. Admission for this one is €12 and will see the 2008 Sibin headliner General Levy and they will be joined on the night be Marcus Intalex.

Finally it Sibíns Fancy Foolsday on April 1st (Friday) with doors at 9pm and admission absolutely FREE. The night will have a largely indie vibe to it with Barley Mob, Dem Fools, Rob Walsh w/ Band and finally Gypsy Rebel Rabble. It’s a fancy dress night and there will be ticket give aways on the night to the two best costumes so dress crazy.
