Sibéal has shared the video for Mise Éire, taken from her debut, self-titled album, ‘Sibéal’.

‘Mise Éire’ originally featured on the soundtrack to ‘1916: The Irish Rebellion’, a documentary scored by Patrick Cassidy. Cassidy invited Sibéal to sing the lyrics, taken from a poem by Pádraig Pearse and set them to his composition.

“It is the voice of Ireland speaking in this song. Mise Éire means “I am Ireland”. It’s a big statement and I wanted to do it justice,” says Sibéal. “This song means a lot to me as it is the first song I ever recorded. It is the first song that Universal Music heard me sing and it is the song that led to the rest of the album.”
