Irelands biggest festival is set to release the first set of band announcements for the lineup this coming March 8th 2011.
We had speculated on potential additions to the lineup based on who was announced on T in the Park -> Here and it will only be 6 more days before we can confirm large amounts of these or scratch them off. The announcement will take place on March 8th at 8pm exclusively to music fans online at www.oxegen.ie though we promise we won’t be far behind here.
Officially of course the acts currently on the lineup hark back to Witnness 2002 with Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Black Eyed Peas, Arctic Monkeys and Paolo Nutini adding a very punky pop rock lineup so far. This we like. The lineup at 8pm will have a launch event co-inciding with it down in The Academy on the same night and registered users of Oxegen.ie and Oxegen Facebook will be in with a chance of an invite down to the night itself.
Tickets will be on sale once the lineup has been announced at 8pm via the ticket hotline or online at Ticketmaster.ie and yes the recession busting deposit scheme is back to help pay for the ticket in installments. There will also be a new March madness style event going on where anyone buying tickets in March will be in with a chance of winning OXEGEN PRIVELEGES which are money can’t buy prizes like side of stage access and meet and greets so if your gonna buy, March is the month to do it.
