In anticipation of a little picnic next weekend, why not head up to Dundalk for Oriel Live? It’s a one day festival in the heart of Louth. As we’re in the midst of festival season we have a bit of a quiet week but the gigs that are on, all seem to be packed to the rafters. 90’s rockers Low have sold out Whelan’s tonight. One of this year’s biggest breakout acts Imagine Dragons have two sell out shows in The Olympia Theatre tonight and Thursday night. Tame Impala are sandwiched in between Imagine Dragons on Wednesday night , that’s another sell out.
If you’re up North, make sure to check out Belsonic for a jam packed week of music. They’ve got Nine Inch Nails & And So I Watch You From Afar on Wednesday, The Lumineers & SOAK on Thursday, Jake Bugg & The Courteeners on Friday, Suede & James on Saturday and finally Steve Angello on Sunday. Tickets are still available and vary from €30 – €47.50.
Hotly tipped local act Gangs play The Academy 2 on Friday night. Tickets are a steal at €6.50 and are still available. Meanwhile James are in The Olympia Theatre, tickets are still available and are €20.40 – €32.
