You can’t deny One Direction are the runaway success story of X Factor, 1.6 million records sold in four month is impressive by anyone’s standards except perhaps Adele who is a record selling machine from the future. The album is now gone platinum and for Harry, Liam, Louise, Zayn and Niall it seems that if they continue to get amazing pop writers for them, they will quite easily be the big boyband for the next 10 years. It’s nice to see that three songs on the current album were written by the band of which Taken would be my personal favourite even if it sounds uncannily like Beyonce’s – If I Were A Boy.
Anyway conjecture aside they will be back to play two dates in Dublin then two dates in Belfast. The One Direction lads will hit The O2, Dublin on Tuesday 5th March and Wedesday 6th March 2013 with tickets for those shows costing €40.
Then it’s up to Belfast on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March 2013 to play The Odyssey Arena. Tickets for those shows are £29.50 – £35.50. Tickets for both Dublin and Belfast are going on sale Saturday 25th February at 9am. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.
