Holy mother of all announcements, it’s very rare that we bundle up big gigs into news roundup of types but when these four hit your desk in one mail it makes sense. It’s the post Oxegen come-down after what has to be said was one of the best years I’ve enjoyed down there with just about zero hassle my entire weekend.

Some of the acts we caught are coming back to Dublin to play some dates for those who didn’t make Oxegen (and maybe some of you who did). First up is OFWGKTA are coming to Dublin to play The Academy after a circle pit frenzy of a performance at Oxegen. The gig is on August 23rd so not too long to see them and tickets for the show are €18.50 and are onsale Friday at 9am.

Next is the decidedly perky Noah and the Whale who play Mandela Hall in Belfast on October 9th and then crawl down to Dublin on October 10th to play The Olympia Theatre which if my memory serves me correctly is a bit step up on the last visit which I think was in Whelans (sold out of course though). Tickets for the Belfast date are £18.50 and €26 if your in Dublin. Again tickets are on sale Friday at 9am.

Third announcement is the awesome Patrick Wolf who’s latest album Lupercalia bowled me over and I went to catch him at Oxegen but I must have got the stage times mixed up as he wasn’t on at the time I thought he would be. However I now have a chance to make amends as he will be in The Academy on October 24th. That’s not to mention his Belfast date in The Speakeasy, the night before on the 23rd. Tickets for this are a measly €20 for Dublin and £13.50 in Belfast and are again on sale Friday at 9am.

Finally another band who got a great response at Oxegen were The Naked And Famous who will be over to play Ireland again on November 13th in The Olympia Theatre, Dublin. Tickets for this cost €25 and are on sale Friday at 9am shock horror zero change there.
