Rory Gallaghers Random Facebook
Former Revs man Rory Gallagher is attempting to garner some more attention with a follow on from his humour based track, ‘Ryanair Blues’ which he released last month.
Rory asked people to leave random lyrics on his Facebook page and 100 replies flowed in over the next few hours. He then recorded a track using the words posted to his profile. He has uploaded the track to Youtube with a make shift video. He is now considering make a release made up of Facebook messages.
Rory said – ‘I’m thinking about leaving a post open for one week and crafting and editing an EP out of the best lyrics that are added,’ said Rory. ‘This is an interesting new and novel idea and I know that it’s only a matter of time before a better known artist rips it off!’
Miracle Bell releases new single and to support on tour with The Coronas
They will be releasing a new single called ‘Future Kings‘ from their debut album ‘Light Shape Sound’, They will then be heading out on tour with The Coronas on their nationwide tour in December. Kimme Rhoses playing Naul
Texan Singer-Songwriter Kimmer Rhodes is going on tour to play a series of special Christmas concerts in Ireland and the UK and will be hitting the Seamus Ennis Centre in Naul on Thursday December 2nd. She is about to release her first Christmas album entitled ‘Miracles on Christmas Day’.
Tickets are €16 and doors are at 7.30pm.
Other Voices Ticket information
As previously mentioned on the site, Other Voices is returning for a ninth season and will be running for four days between December 4th and 7th. Top acts like The National, Marina and the Diamons, Smoke Fairies, Cathy Davey, ASIWYFA, The Minutes, O Emperor and more will be playing.
Tickets are going onsale on Saturday November 20th at 9am in Dingle and then on Tickets.ie from 9am on Monday November 22nd. Tickets are €35 per tickets and there is a maximum of two tickets per night.
Milan Jay announce new EP ‘To the Sea and Swim and EP launch gig.
Milan Jay are back again and will be releasing the new EP on his own label Philosophor Records on November 27th 2010. It’s the first of a trilogy of planned EP’s to be released between 2010 and 2011.
