O'RourkeRenowned Irish pianist Michael O’Rourke will return to The National Concert Hall On Saturday February 24th, this time joined by the Head of Music at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, Stephen Ackert. Together, they bring to the NCH a unique event entitled ‘Echoes – Artwork and Music’, as part of the Concert Hall’s International Concert Series 2012/2013.

Combining music with a visual display of artwork from the National Gallery of Art, as well as other celebrated collections, the pair hope to allow audience members to experience two wonderful mediums of art and expression simultaneously. O’Rourke will perform Debussy’s Preludes Book 1 and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition on the evening, with Ackert narrating the event.

This event takes place on Saturday 24th of February at 8pm. Tickets are priced from €20 – €40, and are available to purchase on www.nch.ie, as well as in the National Concert Hall box office (Tel: 01 4170000), located in the foyer of the concert hall.
