August 4th 2018 will see some of Ireland’s finest heavy bands take to the stage for the first edition of Cork’s new all dayer, ‘Monolith Festival’.

The festival, organised by Paranoid Beast Promotions, the recently amalgamated efforts of Con Doyle and Daniel Howard of Subtle Beast Promotions and Mark Morrisey of Altered States Promotions, will take place in one of Cork’s finest and most respected venues, Cyprus Avenue.

While there are several other all day festivals around the Munster area, Monolith has been organised to cater towards those seeking a doomier alternative to other, more youth-focused events around the country. Nonetheless, there are still several younger bands billed to appeal to a wider audience, but the focus remains to provide quality over quantity and a clarity of sound. It makes sense then, that Monolith Festival should take place in a venue that is known for its excellent sound system, namely Cyprus Avenue.

The lineup for this inaugural event includes Cork’s own God Alone and The Magnapinna, Slung From A Tree, Apostate Viaticum, Iona Death Cult, Yurt, Between The Lines, Marabou, MOLARBEAR, Third Island and a host of other bands from across the country.

Ticket are on sale for €7 and are available to buy from Cyprus Avenue.
