MusicNetworkMusic Network, who manage the Music Capital Scheme, were delighted today to have confirmation of the designation of €210’000 to the Music Capital Scheme for 2014.

The Music Capital Scheme, supported also by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, offers funding to both non-professional performing groups/ensembles and professional musicians for the purchase of musical instruments. Commenting on the announcement, Sharon Rollston (CEO of Music Network) commented:

“Music Network is delighted to once again manage the Music Capital Scheme in 2014. Since its inception in 2008, 163 awards have been made to professional musicians and to organisations working with non-professional musicians, reinforcing Music Network’s mission to make live music happen in Ireland. We are very grateful to the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht for its continued support of this valuable scheme.”
