Philadelphia’s Low Cut Connie will bring his 70s Stones throwback sound to The Grand Social this June. The group’s fifth album ‘Dirty Pictures (Part 2)’ (2018) has received acclaim from the likes of  Rolling Stone and NPR with frontman Adam Weiner’s writing described by the former as being “Seventies Stones (but dirtier), the New York Dolls (but tighter) and Jerry Lee Lewis (but Westerberg-ier)” who placed single Beverly in their Top 50 Songs of 2018.

Celebrity fans include Sir Elton John who dedicated Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me to the band at his sold out show in Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. “There’s a band that I love at the moment so much called Low Cut Connie, who are from Philadelphia. And I’d like to dedicate this song to them right now, because I love them very much, and you should check them out. Buy their records, go see them. They’re amazing.”

Low Cut Connie live at The Grand Social Friday, 7th June 2019. Tickets €16.00 inclusive of booking fees on sale Friday at 9AM.
