Bedroom rapper extraordinaire KhakiKid gets nostalgic about accidentally going large on a night out on his new single Woodstock. The 22-year-old Crumliner real name Abdu Huss has just signed with international management company Red Light Management joining a roster of over 400 acts including Kojaque, Kean Kavanagh, Luz and 49th & Main and international acts such as Everything Everything and Nilüfer Yanya.

KhakiKid has generated over 4 million streams on Spotify alone via tracks such as Cozy, Slumped Up and Alcoholics with 49th & Main. Woodstock sees KhakiKid capitalise on those early outings bringing his trademark lyrical prowess to the next level ahead of the release of his debut EP ‘Elevator Music’ set for release in July.

“I wrote Woodstock reminiscing of those nights where you hadn’t any plans but by the end of it you’re missing 50 percent of the clothes you left the house with. Even with the memories of your mam’s mortified face in the morning, you can’t help but look back on those nights with a tinge of nostalgia. I wanted the song to feel like you’re walking home at sunrise, hearing birds chirping and are desperately trying to avoid shameful eye contact with early morning joggers.”

Khakikid is set to have a busy festival season with appearances at Forbidden Fruit, Longitude and Otherside.
