Forty years on since his debut, John Prine is still around and still top brass.

Described as “a songwriter’s songwriter” and recently honoured at the Library of Congress by U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, raising him to the American treasure status. He drops in for an Irish tour in February to play four Irish dates. Those shows will be in Derry, Dublin, Cork and Belfast. John’s last album came out this time last year entitled ‘The Singing Mailman Delivers’ and features early studio and live recordings dating back to 1970.

The shows in February are as follows. February 22nd in the Millenium Forum, Derry with tickets £19.50 – £29.50, February 24th in Vicar Street, Dublin with tickets €40 – €45. Next is Cork Opera house on February 25th with tickets costing €40 and finally it’s the Waterfront in Belfast with tickets £29 – £32.50.
