The first week of 2023 sees Somebody’s Child gear up for the release of their eponymous debut album with the release of ‘I Need Ya’, The Murder Capital continue to introduce us to Gigi with the release of ‘Return My Head’, while Overhead, The Albatross continue their comeback with new single ‘Think Thank Thunk’, unfortunately there’s still no sign of a ladder but it’s great to have the lads back.

Manchester based artist Reuben Hester returns with pop ballad ‘A Piece Of Me’ his first single in two years. Meanwhile, Ryan Mack will keep his 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify happy with his latest piano ballad  ‘Did You Love Me Ever’. Elsewhere in pop, Lazee Gold start the year off with a bang with ‘Sarah’s Song’ which features on New Music Friday UK this week and Fake Friends join the Irish pop-rock production line with their debut single ‘Maybe’.

If singer-songwriters are your thing new tracks from the likes of Kate Dineen, Myles McCormack and Maria Doyle Kennedy may tickle your fancy. Belters Only continue to smash the Irish dance scene with their new EP which gathers together all of their recent hits and the VIP version of ‘Superstar’. Meanwhile, up-and-coming producer Mild impresses with his latest release ‘Dial In’, While R.L Beats joins forces with Ciara Nicole for ‘You’re All I Need’ and Walshy remixes Good Thing’s ‘Love Like This’

It wouldn’t be Friday without a new song from Outsider YP who continues his frankly ridiculous run of releases with ‘Alone In Paranoia’ elsewhere in hip hop there’s new tracks from TravIS and Elzzz, Triz Nathaniel and Runoffbroke, Emzee A, and Sam Casey.
