Hozier, Imelda May and The Coronas join forces for Samaritans charity album

Hozier, Imelda May and The Coronas have joined forces for ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Light Within You’ a charity compilation album in aid of the Samaritans.

As well as Hozier, Imelda May and the Coronas the charity album features contributions from the likes of Mary Black, Roisin O, Paddy Casey, The Hothouse Flowers and many more.

The album is dedicated to “all those people who have not yet found the courage to call Samaritans, please just be patient and gentle with yourselves, that day will come.”

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, TD has backed the album’s release saying “Music is our escape, our comfort, our sanity, our sense, our joy. Quiet now. Like the Samaritans, listen.”

‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Light Within You’ is released on October 9th with all proceeds going to the Samaritans.
