ICE POP, an up-and-coming Dublin-based alternative rock act have released their debut single Gerry Adams In The Sky.

The song’s music video was was made by Openbin Media and stars online comedian Darren Conway, himself a rising star in the realm of Irish social media.

ICE POP, a self-described “alternative rock artist from a freezer in Dublin” elaborates on the song’s subject matter.

“The song is written from the perspective of someone who only knows about politician Gerry Adams from internet memes. It is inspired by the popularization of absurd Gerry Adams memes in recent times.”

The song was performed alongside multi-instrumentalist Luke Warm, and produced by legendary producer Liam Mulvaney (Girl Band, Naoise Roo).

Fans of Presidents Of The United States Of America, Electric Six and early Beck will want to check this out. ICE POP plans to release follow-up single Sex With A Socialist in June.
