PREMIERE: Toshín - 'Love & Defeat'

If your feelings towards today's romantic festivities are a little more sweet than sour, rest assured you're not alone.

Following the success of last year's anthemic introduction Boy Listen, Toshín attempt to flip the script on the Hallmark holiday with new track Love & Defeat.

Written by Lisa Rodgers and Taran Plouzane (Bicurious) and based on lead singer Tosin Bankole's past endeavours of the heart, it's very much reflective of the modern female's experience of love.

À la Ariana Grande, Love & Defeat is a call to arms; a request for women to "let go of the poison and move on with life, empowered" - a message anyone can get behind, single or otherwise. It's hard not to be caught up in the six piece's scintillating swing between R&B and jazz.

Toshín will be celebrating the release of Love & Defeat with a single launch show in Sin É,  Dublin on the February 16th, with support comes from Katie O'Connor.

You can keep up to date with Toshín on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
