"Do anything to me... But not Room 101!"

In George Orwell's 1984, Room 101 is a place which contains a person's worst nightmare. We asked the members of 2015 Plec Picks Red Enemy what items they would like to put into this room and why. The answers may do a bit of damage to their images as heavy metal hard men, but we published them anyway.

Kev – Fish:

"Absolutely hate fish. They just freak me out. I think the fear came from when I went scuba diving a few years back in Spain and a weird fish swam in front of me and just stared me dead in the eyes, causing me to freak out at about 15m underwater. Hate them."

Jay – Toenails

"Toenails. What can I say… if you suffer from Freddy Krueger feet stay the feck away from me."

Jordan – Spiders

"I hate spiders. I sometimes think the only reason they were put on this world is to help me lose sleep. Every time winter comes back around and they come inside for warmth I put up a tent out the back and sleep in it until the eight legged freaks leave my gaff to terrorise the outside world once again."

Dock – Spiders

"Spiders are aliens that disguise themselves as an acceptable part of society. Everything about them gives me the willies!"

Lango – Spiders

"Lil’ agile pubes they are. They’re too fast and they always seem to run towards me. Eight legged wankers."

Red Enemy play Fibber Magees tomorrow night (Saturday 7 November), along with Frustration, Hallow Truth, Deathtrap and Held Back. It'll be a strictly no spiders show.
