Here it is, the first in our series of Windmill Lane Session videos - in partnership with Independent.ie. And who better to kick us off than GP favourite Gavin James - a previous performer at our own #GoldenBeck showcase night last year (see photos here).

The big man is currently, and seemingly always, trekking across the world - showcasing his talents to the masses. Having recently signed a record deal with Capitol Records in the US - things are only on the way up for Gavin.

The big bunch of music fanatics over at Windmill Lane Sessions and Indpendent.ie recently caught up with Gavin and recorded two songs (1 original/1 cover) and an interview.

The cover is The Book of Love by The Magnetic Fields - a song that appears on Gavin's 'Live at Whelans' album. The song has amassed a staggering 2.1 million plays on Gavin's Spotify and is almost unrecognisable from the original; released in 1999 by the Boston pop-band.
