Nick Carswell & The Elective Orchestra and I had a nice chat today and they passed on the details of their debut EP which will be available as digital download on their bandcamp page on Friday 22nd April (i.e. Good Friday)

The Limerick lads are releasing it through their independent label Silly Goose Records and it was recorded in Data Recording Studios in Kerry aswell as two churches in Limerick and Dublin and an apartment in Cork. The EP is based around the song of Nick Carswell and The Elective Orchestra have been playing together for about three years now. In that time they have released two singlers and played support to Villagers, Halfset and 3epkano aswell as appearing at Electric Picnic, HWCH and IMRO Showcase tour.

Our good friends at State.ie described the live show as ‘Enthralling’ and if you fancy checking it out yourself then the live show will be near you in May but first the album launch takes place in The Odessa Club, Dublin on Thursday April 21st. A Month later they will play Limerick, Cork, Clonakilty, Mullingar, Dublin and finally Lahinch (full dates below) as they lay seige to Ireland.
