There’s not always a good way to address the death of a musical legend.  It’s hard to find the words that justify the legacy, the music, the person they were. There’s so much that each artist can mean to everyone but perhaps David Bowie is an artist that touches the world as one.

Rock n roll icon David Bowie (69) has died following an 18-month battle with cancer. Born David Jones, Bowie’s lengthy career spawned numerous hit singles and albums and established him as the single most significant soloartist since Elvis Presley. From the Laughing Gnome to Ziggy Stardust, The Thin White Duke and Nathan Adler, Bowie was famed for his personas and transformational approach to music and visuals alike.

Bowie was also well known as an actor appearing in cult classics such as ‘The Man Who Fell To Earth’ and ‘Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence’ and cameo appearances in movies such as ‘Zoolander’. His latest album ‘Blackstar’ sees Bowie leave behind him the sax album he strived to create his whole career.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends and to those around the world whom he and his music meant the world.
