ChaChaCha & HaHaHa! The sound lads from Dublin band Shrug Life and comedian Bláithín de Burca have taken it upon themselves to organise an independent all-day music and comedy gig in-aid of the fabulous folks at Pieta House, called ChaChaCha & HaHaHa as a way of remembering lost friends.

The event will bring together some of Ireland’s finest indie bands and songwriters, alongside an excellent collection of up-and-coming Irish comedians. The setting is the DIY art space, JaJa Studios in Stonybatter, and will run from 2pm to 11pm.

Musically, the day will run the gamut of guitar music, from the ethereal folk of singer- songwriter Maija Sofia to the breezly jangle-pop of Robbie Stickland and Postcard Versions. From Galway we have former Plec Picks garage-rock trio Oh Boland, as well as Dublin indie-veterans Squarehead.

From the world of comedy, the evening will feature the weird and wonderful Sarah Devereux, master of the pregnant pause, Brian Gallagher, the whimsical wit of Aoife Gallagher, and high-energy rambling from Mike Rice. MC for the night is the aforementioned, unapologetic feminist Bláithín de Burca.

Tickets for the event are still available, but with a limited capacity of 100, you will have to book very (very) early.
