Bumblefoot to Give Intimate Guitar Workshop in Derry

Virtuoso guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal is coming to Derry in September to give an imitative guitar masterclass.

The two hour music clinic will take place in the Nerve Centre, Derry on 12 September. Thal describes the event as “very spontaneous, it’s fun, it’s a lot of back-and-forth with the audience.” Attendees will have a chance to “hang out and have a good time” with the legendary musician.

Thal has had an extensive career as a guitarist, engineer, producer, and as a solo musician under the Bumblefoot moniker. He joined Guns N’ Roses in 2006, playing on the ‘Chinese Democracy’ album.

The event also marks the launch of the Inishowen Music Academy, which will announce a full term of courses and events soon.
